FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We will have a parking reservation system from Dec. 21, 2024 - May 4, 2025 for weekends and holidays (including April 1) only between 6:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. These FAQs only apply to those dates and times. Weekdays and days prior to Dec. 21 or after May 4 do not require a reservation. The Beach and Admin parking will be paid parking everyday of the season.

Q: What will general parking reservations look like?The reservation system will be effective on weekends and holidays (including April 1) from Dec. 21, 2024 to May 4, 2025. These reservations must all be made online in advance through your account. Accounts can be created by CLICKING HERE. General parking reservations are $20/vehicle in Early Riser, High Noon, Last Chance, and Upper Last Chance. Parking reservations will be required in all lots from 6:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. on weekends and holidays. After 1:00 P.M. on these dates, parking is free and does not require a reservation. General parking will remain free during non-holiday weekdays in Early Riser, High Noon, Last Chance, and Upper Last Chance. Vehicles with four or more people are still required to have a reservation, but the reservation is free. Accessible parking is free, but will require a reservation to be made online in advance. The Admin Lot is $40/day everyday of the season (same as last season), but will require a reservation on weekends and holidays. The Beach will require a reservation everyday of the season, rates will vary (same as last season). These reservations will now be made at www.parkabasin.com. A limited number of $150 season parking passes, which will cover general parking costs all season long, were released to Unrestricted Pass Holders and are now sold out for the 2024-25 winter season. Season parking pass holders will still need to make a reservation in advance, at no additional cost.

Q: Does this change other parking lot rules?No, everything else remains the same. We do not allow camping or large vehicles such as RVs and trailers. You still cannot park along the highway. The admin lot will still be $40/day. The Beach will remain the same; except you will book it through www.parkabasin.com this year and will go on sale Nov. 1, 2024.

Q: I booked a Beach reservation does that count towards my two reservations?Yes, your beach reservation counts as one of your two reservations.

Q: How far in advance will reservation slots be released?The first wave of parking reservations will become available on Nov. 1, 2024. Each Monday beginning December 16, more reservations will be released for the upcoming weekend. These will become available at 2:00 P.M. MST. Remember, you may only hold two reservations per account at a time.

Q: Is accessible parking free?Accessible parking is free but will require a reservation in advance.

Q: Do I need a reservation for an EV charging space?Yes, you are required to make a reservation online in advance. There are ten (10) EV charging spaces. If an EV charging space is not available, your parking reservation guarantees you a space in any General Parking lot.

Q: How many reservations can I hold at once?Reservations are limited to 2 per account. You can only have 1 reservation per day, per account. You cannot have 2 reservations on the same date per account

Q: What are the violations and fees?You need a general parking reservation to park between 6:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. on weekends and holidays only between Dec. 21, 2024 and May 4, 2025. If you park without a reservation or fail to cancel your reservation by 9:00 A.M. the day of your reservation, you will be subject to a violation and a subsequent fee. Initial violations are $100 with a $50 discount if paid within 10 days. Subsequent violations are $200 with a $100 discount if paid within 10 days. Further violations could lead to season pass suspension and tow.

Q: What if I park without a reservation?You need a reservation to park between 6:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. on weekends and holidays only between Dec. 21, 2024 and May 4, 2025. If you park without a reservation during these times, you will be subject to violations and fees.

Q: What if I miss my reservation?If you do not park and do not cancel an existing reservation by 9:00 A.M. the morning of your reservation, you will be subject to violations and fees.

Q: Can I cancel or reschedule a reservation?Yes, you can cancel and reschedule your reservations. You must do so by 9:00 A.M. MST the morning of your reservation or you are subject to violation and fees.

Q: Do I have to arrive by 9:00 A.M.No, you can arrive anytime between 7:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M.

Q: What is the difference between arrival policy and cancellation policyAll lots open at 6:00 A.M. Reservations are required until 1:00 P.M. If you cannot make it, please cancel by 9:00 A.M. Your cancelation can be done until 9:00 A.M. the day of with no penalty.

Q: What if my license plate changes/I will have rental plates?You will be able to update your license plate in your account after creating your reservation. If you will be using a rental car, use your own plates to make the reservation and then update the reservation with the rental plates when you get them.

Q: How will we confirm carpoolers?Our parking attendants will verify as you enter the lot, whether that be High Noon, Early Riser, Last Chance, or Upper Last Chance. If you have 4 or more skiers or riders in your car, you will receive a placard to put on your dash.

Q: How will this affect uphill users outside of operating hours?If you are uphill skiing before or after operating hours, you can park for free but must move your car by 9:00 A.M. to avoid receiving a violation. You may purchase a parking reservation if you plan to go uphill during operating hours or downhill skiing or riding after 9:00 A.M.

Q: What if I purchased a lesson or Kid’s Club Arapahoe?If you purchased any kind of lesson with us, you will be redirected to www.parkabasin.com to create a reservation on the day of your booking. These reservations will still be $20/reservation unless you carpool with 4 or more.

Q: How will we handle event/parent parking?For events, participants will be required to book a reservation just like anyone else.

Q: I don’t want to pay. Can I still get to A-Basin for free on weekends and holidays?We love carpoolers—they save parking spaces and support our green initiatives. Vehicles with four or more people are still required to make an online reservation in advance, but it is free. Try out the Treadshare app to connect you with nearby skiers and riders heading to A-Basin on the same days you are. You must make a carpoolers reservation. There will be no refunds if you create a regular reservation and show up with 4 people in your car. There are easy and convenient ways of getting to A-Basin without paying for parking on weekends and holidays—our fantastic local public transit! Summit County offers a FREE bus service between Breckenridge, Keystone, Frisco, Dillon, and Silverthorne. The Summit Stage "Swan Mountain Flyer" services A-Basin daily during peak ski season. On weekend and holidays, you can track the buses online or via a mobile app. From Denver, kick up your feet and check out the Snowstang for an easy, quick ride. Parking will also remain free after 1:00 P.M. and will not require a reservation.

Q: Can I buy my season parking pass and one-off reservations now?Daily reservations will go on sale Nov. 1, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. for all skiers and riders, with or without a season parking pass. Beach spots will also go on sale at this date. Season parking passes are sold out for the 2024-25 winter season. Each Monday beginning December 16, more reservations will be released for the upcoming weekend. These will become available at 2:00 P.M. MST. Remember, you may only hold two reservations per account at a time.

To make a parking reservation, simply follow these instructions:Visit www.parkabasin.com and select ‘Make a Parking Reservation' from the menu or from the Parking Basics page. You will be directed to reservenski.parkabasin.com. From the parking reservation site, follow these steps: Select Parking Location. If you have a parking code, please select 'Use A Parking Code' and enter your code. If you wish to manage your promo code(s), please select 'Manage Parking Codes'. Choose your parking date from the calendar. Choose your parking rate and you will be redirected to 'Login into Your Account' or 'Create an Account' if you do not already have one. Once you are logged into your account, you will be automatically taken to the 'Check Out' screen. From here, you may change your license plate if needed. Select your payment method. Then Select 'Pay and Park' to complete your purchase.
